Components:

  • Relay Module
  • Arduino NANO
  • 16×2 LCD Display Module
  • IR Sensor
  • 7 Segment Voltmeter
  • Z44 MOSFET
  • Copper Coils
  • LED Resistors
  • DC Jack
  • 9V DC Adapter

Working:

  1. When an electric vehicle approaches the charging station, the IR sensor detects its presence and signals the Arduino NANO to initiate the charging process.
  2. The Arduino NANO controls the relay module to activate the charging circuit, allowing wireless power transmission to the vehicle.
  3. Copper coils in the charging station generate an alternating magnetic field, which induces a current in the receiver coils installed in the vehicle.
  4. The induced current is rectified and regulated to charge the vehicle’s battery, with the 7 Segment Voltmeter displaying voltage levels for monitoring.
  5. The 16×2 LCD Display Module provides real-time feedback on the charging status, including charging progress and any errors or alerts.
  6. LED resistors provide visual indication of charging status, such as charging in progress, fully charged, or error conditions.
  7. Once charging is complete, the Arduino NANO signals the relay module to deactivate the charging circuit, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the charging station.

Application:

  • Public Charging Stations: Provides convenient and accessible charging for electric vehicles at public locations, such as parking lots, malls, and transportation hubs.
  • Residential Garages: Enables homeowners to charge their electric vehicles wirelessly in their own garage, eliminating the need for messy cables and plugs.
  • Fleet Charging: Ideal for businesses with electric vehicle fleets, offering a seamless and efficient charging solution for multiple vehicles simultaneously.
  • Urban Infrastructure: Contributes to the development of smart and sustainable urban infrastructure by promoting the adoption of electric vehicles and reducing carbon emissions.
