Working

  1. Power Supply: The solar panel charges the 18650 rechargeable battery via the voltage regulator, ensuring continuous operation.
  2. Lid Automation:
    • When the ultrasonic sensor detects nearby movement, the Arduino signals the servo motor to open the lid. After a delay, the lid automatically closes.
  3. Fill Level Monitoring:
    • The second ultrasonic sensor measures the dustbin’s fill level. If the bin reaches a preset threshold, the Arduino activates the GSM module to send an SMS alert to the user.
  4. LCD Display: Provides real-time updates on system status, such as “Lid Open,” “Dustbin Full,” or “System Active.”
  5. LED Indicator: Blinks or lights up to indicate operational status or alerts.
